Summer Getaway 2013!

In my Summer Lovin' Inspiration post, I told you that First Aid Kit is a must have when traveling, I should have told you to bring some vinegar too. :D
Okay, okay so why the fudge do you need to have a vinegar with you when you are on the beach? Simple - so you have something to use when you get stung by a jelly fish. :(
Yes folks, my friend Naji and I was stung by a jelly fish. First time on a beach, and first time to be stung by a jelly fish equals trauma. (facepalm)
However, the entire experience was fun, the company outing was held at Virgin Beach Resort, Laiya Batangas.
I automatically fell in love with the place.

The whitish sand was so refined like sugar. :D So I decided to remove my flats and walked bare foot on the sand - instant massage and foot scrub at the same time. ;)
Mario d Boro comfy and cute flats.
We played several games and divided into several groups, blue, white, yellow, and red teams respectively. Some of the games we played are: cheering competition, (we won first place and our cheer goes like this: "matatapang, matatalino, hindi susuko kahit kanino, hinding hindi magpapahuli kaming mga naka puti." House, Hog, Hurricane, our own version of amazing race and lastly tug of war where we also won first place! White team is the best! yeah! hihi
Our Team! - The winning team! haha ;)
Blue - My Baby's Team. ;)
Yellow - My friend Joyce's Team ;)
Red - My friend Liz's Team ;)
And the game begins!
The very energetic me! Lol
No doubt on why my whole body is aching the next day. :)
Since it was my first time on a beach I asked my friend Joy to seat near the shore and we stayed there for a while just looking at the wonderful view and allowing our feet to feel the waves.
My friend Joy and I sat near the shore, allowing our feet to feel the strong waves against our feet.
Joy also took a photo of me while walking; (see the image below).
Foot steps on the sand
Looking at the image first thing I remember is the Poem footsteps in the sand, not sure if you are familiar with it so I added some lines here:
"So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord, that if I followed you,you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you."

I enjoyed the entire day, 'twas a lot of fun! ;) We left Batangas at around 5 PM and I get home at around 9PM. The next day my whole body is aching! :D

Have you ever been stung by a jellyfish? I hope not, but if yes, what did you do?

XOXO,
Tina
